June 1, 2019, the IRONSTAR Triathlon in Olympic Sochi, celebrated its 5th year anniversary. More than 2000 participants from 24 countries competed in two very popular distances: IRONSTAR 113 (half-iron) and IRONSTAR Sprint Triathlon.

The big sports event of IRONSTAR Triathlon took place in Olympic Sochi in the Imeretinsky Resort Area. This is an incredibly charming place on the Black Sea coast, surrounded by beautiful mountains.

Swimming stage took place at the Imeretinsky port bay of Sochi in the protected area from waves and winds by the land. The water temperature here is 2 degrees higher than in the open sea water, and during the race in was close to 20-22 C.

The cycling stage went through track of the Formula-1 and picturesque motorway connecting Adler and Krasnaya Polyana. The athletes completed a long way up to the mountains followed by a speedy downhill ride.

The running course was designed along the unique route in the Imeretinsky Resort Area to the lighthouse and back. This part is perfectly seen from the shore; therefore, the athletes were in the centre of the fans attention and felt their support.
