IRONSTAR 113 Sochi 2018: Triathlon season in Russia is open in Olympic City

In the 7th time, the capital of the Winter Olympic Games hosted a mass triathlon competition among amateurs and professionals. On the start line of three distances more 2000 participants (SPRINT, Half-Iron 113 and IRONLADY) came out.

IRONSTAR 113 Sochi is a triathlon race in Russia: 113 km total distance «Half-Ironman» – 1,93 km swim / 90 km bike / 21,1 km run.

IRONSTAR Sochi Sprint Triathlon is a half of an Olympic distance. Short and bright race for beginners in the triathlon competition: 0,75 km swimming, 20 km bike and 5 km run ⇒ (25,75 km).

IRON Lady is a women’s race, which is held in the framework of IRONSTAR on the eve of the start of the triathlon. The distance of the race is 5 km, which makes it accessible for the Participants even with a low and medium level of preparation. Only girls over 16 years old are allowed to participate.

Among the participants of the IRONSTAR Triathlon in Sochi were many famous people from the world of sports, politics and fashion. With the support of the Ministry of Sports, the Russian Paratriathlon Championship was held in Sochi, in which more than 20 athletes took part.

The swimming course took place in the Bay of Imeretinsky port.

The bike route held – on the track “Formula 1″ at SOCHI AUTODROM, where a separate set-off for the best lap of the circuit was introduced and the Adler-Krasnaya Polyana mountain road.
