The IRONMAN 70.3 Otepää is a triathlon festival which bring together thousands of people to enjoy beautiful nature and a spectacular course at the summer. IRONMAN 70.3 Otepää 2018 took place on Saturday, June 16th in the most sports area of Estonia.
The big triathlon weekend in Estonia is a TOP-race IRONMAN 70.3 Otepää and very interesting side events, such as Zoot Pühajärve Open Water Swimming, Telia 4:18:4 Triathlon, IRONKIDS, Charity Run and wonderful music concert with Sport EXPO on the coast of Pühajärve Lake.

Of course, all attention is directed to the main race of this weekend – IRONMAN 70.3 Otepää!
«70.3» is a most popular format among European athletes in triathlon races: the distance of non-stop includes: 1,93 km swimming / 90 km bike / 21,1 km run.

Triathlon IRONMAN 70.3 Otepää organized by professional sports club the Trismile they are real fans of sports and triathlon with a famous team-leader of Ain-Alar Juhanson. The Organizing Committee does everything to ensure that the participants and guests of Estonia have thousands of smiles and ocean of pleasant impressions from Otepää sports events.

The swim course in IRONMAN 70.3 Otepää is one loop (1,93 km) in Pühajärve lake, from a sandy beach, around an island and back. The water temperature is around 18-20 degrees. Participants take a rolling start.

The bike course (90 km) is undulating – never flat but with no big hills, with a total climb of 650m.

The bike course of the Triathlon IRONMAN 70.3 Otepää is out-and-back-twice, from Otepää to Kanepi, so you can always see other athletes coming in the other direction. The road surface is excellent, and the roads are closed to traffic.

The run (21,1 km / classic half marathon) is a two laps around of the lake – but you are on closed country lanes rather than the lake shore, and there is one memorable hill (which you run up twice), and a couple of smaller ones.

The excellent route, beautiful forest and unique nature is not only a Triathlon IRONMAN 70.3 Otepää, it is a magical Estonia and the best places in the Baltic States for active outdoor!

Triathlon race in Otepää – the great event for professional athletes and amateurs of the age groups. A lot of prizes and special nominations, and most importantly – 50 qualifying slots for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.
