World Athletics Half Marathon Championships Gdynia 2020 – New Year’s gifts for the runners!

The LOC of the World Athletics Half Marathon Championships Gdynia 2020 has started the New Year with a bang! Full participant kit – including an Asics t-shirt and an official backpack - has just been revealed, together with the last pool of 5.000 mass race entries, after 25.000 entries were all sold out in the last days of 2019.

So far, only the unique finisher medal has been shown as part of the mass race participant kit.

With a T-shirt and a backpack added, the kit is now fully revealed. The T-shirt will be provided by Asics which is a global World Athletics Partner. It will feature an original design corresponding with the event logo and its finish line located on a sandy beach in Gdynia.

World Athletics Half Marathon Championships Gdynia 2020 is going to be the biggest half marathon competition in the history of Poland and also the biggest mass race held during the half marathon championship event. Currently, there are 25.000 amateur runners from 73 countries who entered the race.

The last pool of 5.000 entries is now available on www.slotmarket.pl . According to the LOC, these are definitely the last entries. There will be no additional slots even in case a total of 30.000 runners is reached.

World Athletics Half Marathon Championships Gdynia 2020 is a unique opportunity for amateurs to race together with the world’s best road runners. While the official starting list of the championship race is still to come (expected mid March), Joshua Cheptegei of Uganda – the current 10K world record holder – recently revealed his plans to start in Gdynia in an interview. More names should follow soon.
