Jan Frodeno, Olympic gold medalist and three-time winner of the IRONMAN Triathlon World Championship, visited the main competition of Polish triathlon – Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia in 2019.

Athlete Biography
Jan Frodeno (born 18 August 1981) is a famous German triathlete. He is the gold medal winner in men’s triathlon at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, 3-time winner of the IRONMAN World Championship in 2015, 2016, and 2019, and 2-time winner of the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in 2015 and 2018. He is the world record holder for the long distance in triathlon ⇒ 3,86 km swimming + 180,2 km bike and 42,2 km run.
On July 17, 2016 in Roth Germany, he improved the World Record for the long distance by more than 5 minutes to 7:35:39 hours. His split times were 45:22 minutes swim, 4:09:22 hours bike and 2:40:35 hours for the marathon.

Jan Frodeno’s triumph in 2019
It was never in doubt really, was it? Jan Frodeno winning the 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia in Poland and beating the 2018 course record (by eight minutes) of Tim O’Donnell is now a pretty much par for the long distance competition.
Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia is a race at 1,93 km swimming + 90 km bike and 21,1 km run.
Jan Frodeno showed the split times in Gdynia: 22:50 minutes swim, 2:02:01 hours bike and 1:11:26 hours for the half marathon.

Jan Frodeno on this great day motivated the athletes for a sports battle – the first 19 male triathletes smashed the 4h:00 time limit of the Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia 2019!
Is not easy, because the swimming course in Baltic Sea with waves and bike course located in the hilly region of the Polish Kashubia!
