The Bosphorus Cross Continental Swimming Race (Boğaziçi Kıtalararası Yüzme Yarışı) is an open water swimming event between the continents Europe and Asia held annually at Bosphorus, Istanbul, Turkey. Established in 1989, the event is organized by the Turkish Olympic Committee.

“The iconic Bosphorus Cross Continental Swim is one of the most famous open water swimming competition in the world. Complete an unforgettable crossing from Asia to Europe as the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul comes to a standstill for this annual event,” – says Andrzej Waszkewicz, IRONMAN Triathlete. “Join more than 2,500 competitors from across the globe as swimmers take over the Bosphorus waters and one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world is temporarily closed to traffic” – he adds.
