May 5, 2019 was a great day and PKO Bialystok Half Marathon confirmed that is the biggest running event in the North-Eastern Poland. More than 6,400 participants took part in all races during the weekend: Junior City Run, Breakfast Run, City Run 5K and Half Marathon (21,1K).

The race day was cold and windy (5 mps), the air temperature of +8°C stimulated of all participants to run a very fast.

Professional runners from Kenya, Poland, Belarus and Ukraine showed an exciting competition on the central streets of Bialystok and excellent results. The entire geography of the participants at PKO Białystok Half Marathon 2019 – the athletes from 21 countries! 3288 runners finished in the main distance of 21,097 km.

Cosmas Mutuku Kyeva won the men’s race with a new course record – 1:03:41.

As a part of the PKO Białystok Half Marathon 2019, there was also accompanying event of City Run 5K.

In the men’s classification (Run 5K), the runners from Belarus stood on the first two steps of the podium. Henadz Verkhavodkin won with the time of 15:40, the second with the result of 15:56 finished Kiryl Andreichyk. The podium was completed by Patryk Drężek (POL) with the result of 16:52.

Anna Gosk won the women’s City Run 5K race with time 17:10, 2nd place – Izabela Barwicka (19:57) and 3rd Magdalena Kowalczuk (20:07). All female prizers from Poland. Overall of 1265 competitors took part in Bialystok City Run 5K.

The day before the PKO Białystok Half Marathon 2019 on 4th May took place of the Breakfast Run with a few hundred of participants and awesome Junior City Run (over 1,400 young competitors).

For everyone competitors after the finish line waited beautiful medals, bottled water, isotonic drinks, fruits, and some local Polish cuisine dish.
