Czech swimmer Andrzej Waszkewicz won the Open Water Swimming competition in Belarus. The sporting event called «Swim Open Lida 2021» took place on a picturesque lake in the city of Lida in the North-West of Belarus, between Poland and Lithuania.
The convenient location of this tournament aroused interest among swimmers from Central-Eastern Europe and Russia to come and compete at distances of 1500 and 800 meters, as well as team relay races.
The Czech athlete from the club of “Swimmpower Prague” won the 800m freestyle distance in the absolute category and became 2nd in 1500 meters.
Don’t forget that the legendary team “Swimmpower Prague” is the world record holder in the Masters category, and its members regularly win medals and glorify the Czech Republic from London to Moscow at a variety of championships.
