March 30, 2019 the capital of Lithuania hosted a great international event in masters swimming. And the new 25-metres pool Fabijoniškės became a competitive arena for 242 swimmers from 14 countries!

The former Olympic swimmer, silver medalist of Atlanta-1996, Vladimir Predkin wins at 2019 Vilnius Masters Swimming Championships and also smashed the 4 National records of Russia in M50-54 age group! Vladimir showed is very fast results: 50m Freestyle (24.07), 50m Backstroke (27.94), 50m Butterfly (26.54) and 100m Medley (1:02.24).

The best female swimmer was also an athlete from Russia – Larisa Nagovitsyna (W60-64). The total amount of points for all sprint races gave to her the opportunity to take the leadership at the Baltic Masters Swimming Cup in Vilnius. Predkin and Nagovitsyna were recently winners at 2019 Riga Amber Cup in Latvia.

2019 Vilnius Masters Swimming Championships
⇒ 242 swimmers of the Masters category were from 14 countries: Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Tunisia, Moldova, Sweden, Norway an UK.
⇒ The Age of participants from 20 years-old to 94 years-old (Zygmas Polinauskas / born in 1925!).
⇒ More than 600 medals were played this weekend in all age groups / distances!
